This is a gallery featuring mostly what one would call game birds. I have quite a few doves in this gallery. Doves tend to be overlooked as they are so common and many times frustrate people as they overwhelm feeders, other birds and are quite messy especially in the city parks. However, if you find them in a more natural environment they are actually quite photogenic.

Stephen > This Wild Turkey was a bit apprehensive about coming to get some seed at one of the blinds at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge. She was very wary of me. I stepped away a bit to let her get used to me and snapped this portrait of her. She eventually went the seed and ate for quite some time. Near Rio Hondo, Texas, June 2008
