Some of the prettiest birds in my area. The cardinals all have bright, vivid colors and beautiful songs. Many are spring and summer visitors while the cardinals are here in my area all year.
I caught this dickcissel in some nice light but it was very windy and this male was having trouble keeping his perch and singing at the same time it seemed. Midlothian, Texas, May 2008
