Some of the prettiest birds in my area. The cardinals all have bright, vivid colors and beautiful songs. Many are spring and summer visitors while the cardinals are here in my area all year.
I heard this little guy calling in the evening. Since the light was pretty nice and this cardinal didn't seem to mind my relatively close approach, I decided to take a few clicks with my camera. Midlothian, Texas, March 2008.
