As the title suggests these are some different photographs of sparrows, finches and just a few swallows shot mainly around my home but a few are from out of town.
This is one of the female companions to a a few of the male house sparrows that would occasionally stop by the blinds at the Martin Refuge. Curiously, for a non-native species that usually overwhelms other native birds, this was not the case at the refuge. They seemed to fit in nicely. Edinburg, Texas, June 2008
