As the title suggests these are some different photographs of sparrows, finches and just a few swallows shot mainly around my home but a few are from out of town.

Stephen > On the Martin Refuge in Edinburg, Texas, even the lowly house sparrow, which many do not like because it is a non-native species, I think looks even better at this ranch.  The male in full breeding colors really is handsome.  June 2008
Stephen > This is one of the female companions to a a few of the male house sparrows that would occasionally stop by the blinds at the Martin Refuge.  Curiously, for a non-native species that usually overwhelms other native birds, this was not the case at the refuge.  They seemed to fit in nicely.  Edinburg, Texas, June 2008
