As the title suggests these are some different photographs of sparrows, finches and just a few swallows shot mainly around my home but a few are from out of town.

Stephen > savannah sparrow
Stephen > I saw this savannah sparrow being very active and vocal one afternoon in my backyard.  Midlothian, Texas.  January 2008.
Stephen > I was hunting down a Northern Harrier that had landed in the high grass of this field when I stumbled across this Savannah Sparrow perched in the grasses of this field.  Midlothian, Texas, December 2006.
Stephen > While waiting for its turn at the feeder, this savannah sparrow decided to take a rest in my willow tree. Midlothian, Texas, April 2007.
Stephen > Savannah Sparrow on barbed wire.
Stephen > I happened to notice much movement in the rather tall grass of my neighbor's yard.  It turned out to some 5-7 chipping sparrows foraging on the ground.  This is but one of them.  The dandelion stem sort of gives you an idea of how small these sparrows are.  Midlothian, Texas, May 2008.
