As the title suggests these are some different photographs of sparrows, finches and just a few swallows shot mainly around my home but a few are from out of town.

Stephen > I was able to capture just one of the few times that a rufous crowned sparrow came in for water. This was very early in the morning. Los Madrones Ranch, Dripping Springs, Texas, April 2008
Stephen > This winter visitor to my area was hanging around some cedar and juniper trees that were cut down for yet another development. The trees served as a nice shelter for these Harris's Sparrows, but I am sad to see even more land being developed. Midlothian, Texas, March 2008.
Stephen > This Harris's Sparrow was enjoying the late afternoon probably getting ready to go out on the hunt for dinner. Midlothian, Texas, March 2008.
Stephen > This is another Harris's Sparrow that I spied in some thick brush near my home. It is a busy picture, but the Harri's Sparrow is relatively free from interfering branches and the light is nice. Midlothian, Texas, March 2008.
Stephen > Lark sparrow in the trees at dusk, Glen Rose, Texas, April 2008.
Stephen > I really like the colors on the head of the lark sparrow. This would not give me a clean perch but at least it was still. It is a little bright, but I was glad to get the shot considering how far away I was. Midlothian, Texas, April 2008.
Stephen > Once again, I was not able to take a picture of this lark sparrow with a clean, clear perch so I took this one which is about as clear as I could get. The surrounding vegetation is nice as is the like I feel. Midlothian, Texas, April 2008.
Stephen > Lark Sparrow in one of my trees during the summer of 2007. Midlothian, Texas.
Stephen > Talk about lucky, I found this lark sparrow as I was leaving my neighborhood. For some reason, I am finding difficult to correctly expose for the white plumage especially on the head. I still like it though. Lark sparrows are one of my favorite sparrows. Midlothian, Texas, April 2008.
