This is simply a collection of different raptors that I have photographed from in and around my local area and the state of Texas. I had never really realized that there were so many different birds of prey in Texas ranging from the small American Kestrel to the Bald Eagle.

Stephen > I spotted this red tailed hawk flying near its nest in late January 2008.  It, along with is mate, have subsequently raised a chick who recently fledged.  Midlothian, Texas
