This is simply a collection of different raptors that I have photographed from in and around my local area and the state of Texas. I had never really realized that there were so many different birds of prey in Texas ranging from the small American Kestrel to the Bald Eagle.
I was on my way to work when I spotted this red tailed hawk in a tree. The light was still very low so I decided to go for the silhouette look because I had no prayer of getting detail in the shot with such low light. Irving, Texas, September 2007.
